FAQ’s

Do I need a Carbon Reduction Plan? It is a pass-or-fail requirement for relevant central government procurements above £5 million a year, and some other buyers, including the NHS, set related requirements. Your tender documents are the final authority, and the pack includes a short check.

Is it PPN 006 or PPN 06/21? PPN 006 applies to procurements under the Procurement Act 2023 regime, and PPN 06/21 to earlier ones. The pack is built on PPN 006 and notes the difference.

Do I need an externally audited footprint? PPN 006 does not require one. A buyer may still ask for verification separately, so check the tender.

Is the pack really free? Yes, with no card needed. You'll get the pack by email, followed by a few short tips you can unsubscribe from at any time.

What if I'd rather not calculate emissions in a spreadsheet? Combatting Carbon's software calculates and updates your footprint with human review, so your figures stay audit-ready.
